If only one good piece of news can be found, this sounds pricy.

News item: U.S. military leaders in Baghdad have put out for bid a two-year, $20 million public relations contract assembling a database of selected positive news stories to provide to improve coverage of the military command's performance . . .

And the administration makes charges that news is biased....

is the $20 million spent even if they don't find a good news story? maybe they can find a skateboarding cat or something? maybe a dog in a hat wearing sunglasses? Or maybe a the militia will get a cat down a tree.

Since it is painfully obvious that what is going on in Iraq is certainly not what is reported here I guess 20 mil is a bargain.
