I currently have one, came from a family with two. I think coming from a family with only having a brother, I was always wanting a sister or a bigger family (my mom & dad were kind of "odd man out" with only having two kids in our extended Italian family). I would love to have lots of kids - at least two or three more, if I am so blessed. But I'm already 35 and it took me 7 years to get pregnant with my daughter, so even if I don't have any more, I'm satisfied.

I thought it was the opposite. People I know who come from small families (like 1 brother or 1 sister), tend to have more children..like 4 or 5. I came from a family of 3 brothers (there was the 4 of us) and I only have 2 kids...so maybe my kids will have 3,4 or 5??? I always wanted 4 or at least 3 but its too expensive.

Not true for my family. I have 3 other siblings. We're between the ages of 27-34. I have no children, my sister has no children, my brother has one, and my other brother has 3 (and is done). None of us will probably reach 4 kids. I have no interest at this time of ever having any. My decision is based on money and fear of accidently screwing up a child's life.

Not always. My husband came from a family of 7 children and I came from a family of 2. We have 3 boys. We are finished. People from really large families are not always willing to go that same route. I guess you take the number some where inbetween the number of the two spouses.

Well what do you think.. I have 4 daughters and my parents are still married and have 13 children. Yes 10 girls 3 boys. My Ex and I are now divorced but there are 8 in his family.. So what does that tell you.. I never wanted kids but I love them.

I have two children. I may be pregnant with my 3rd (and last!) I am going to buy a preg. test tomorrow and then go to the dr. for a blood test to confirm if the home test comes back positive. My mother had 3 kids, her mother had 2 and my fathers mother had 2. I always wanted 5 kids, but pregnancy is not easy on my body.. so me and my husband have decided that 3 is enough!!

I came from a family of 4--two parents, two kids. My fiance/husband came from the same size of family.

We both have decided to have a large family. We have one right now, but we would like to have a family of 6. We are managing our money so that each child will have $7K for a wedding and $50K to give a headstart for college.
