according to the bible he was a beautiful creation of God .The whole pitch fork red with a tail I've come to the conclusion that this idea came from the devil himself. see if he can make you think that something that would be really hard to believe that if the devil looks like some jacked up cartoon charcter what would you think about God!? See the devil wants you to believe he doesn't exist so then you doubt God's existence then he has you right where he wants you. Because the Bible states you either serve either God or the devil no in between!!

You read new book about Adam and Eve by Laura Lipari? Lucifer was beautiful before taking Eve away from her intended spouse Adam. Verdi explored this idea with his opera "Don Carlo" who was a real son of a real king (Philip II of Spain) - all great speculation...

So the story goes. However, Lucifer can be seen as a metaphor for vanity, one of the seven cardinal sins. Thinking that you are superior just because of your looks never works out in the long run.

That is what I was told and have read. It was his great sin against God that turned him ugly. This is why many people who were born deformed or not pretty were considered evil, in the early days of the churches.
Stupid attitude but is was very strong, and many parents actually killed deformed children thinking the devil was in them.
I think the ugliness is his true nature showing thru. His light was gone and no longer shining thru.

According to the myth he was a superior angel. Still in the myth mode he can change appearances so can appear beautiful now. The horned demon thing is to induce fear, awe, quivering. It is the whole power and dominance thing. It is an attempt to step towards omnipotence.

Yes. According to scripture Lucifer was a beautiful chief angel. However, there is no reference that he ever became ugly. This is something that was added on by fokelore muck later.

Lucifer was the most beautiful thing god ever created. He was an angel and he is still beautiful. The whole tail and pitchfork thing is incorrect, but merely an image a cartoonist came up with...

He was the most beautiful of all God's creation. He was the anointed cherub who covers ( heaven's praise and worship leader ) He was perfect in all his ways until his pride destroyed him. Now he is God's avowed enemy and seeks to destroy us. Despite what other people may say, he is alive and well and up to no good! But I have read the back of the book and we win and he loses!

Yeah he was one of god's best angels, but he wanted more then that he wanted to be a ruler just like god but god said no so he started to mess around so god kicked him out of heavan and so he became so angry that a fire burnt which was called hell fire but because he was immortal the fire did not harm him and then after a created his own place he decided to call it hell (meaning a place of anger) and then he started collecting souls of god's people, and god caught on to this so he did something where god can only protect them if he's in their heart but it was up to the people weather to be bad or good and thats how it is to this very day.

Satan is a cherub, created by God.
Satan was created "perfect all in his ways" -- NOT evil.
Satan was created before God created the earth and humans.
God created Satan as the most intelligent and beautiful of all His creatures.
God anointed Satan to serve as a guardian of God's presence and holiness.
Satan's original domain was Planet Earth, in the garden of God known as Eden.
Satan's rebellion against God began uncounted eons ago, and continues even today.
He rebels by means of trading in deceit and slander, and NOT by a contest of strength.
His goal is to subvert the hearts and minds of angelic and human creatures, to turn them against God.
Moreso, he seeks to turn angels and humans away from serving God, so that they will instead worship and serve Satan.
In applying his strategy, Satan is striking at the only "weakness" of God. Namely, God LOVES. Because of His great love, God will not coerce or force His creatures to love Him in return.
