Cuz good girls like me are virgins. Boys can still be good if they're not cuz they can't have babies.

He will be delighted to be the first. In some countries 95% girls are virgins till deflowered by their husbands on their first night.( In fact there are problems if the husband does not see the blood due to rupture of hymn.) Being a virgin starts marriage on a solemn note and both partners can vow to be faithful to each other. Yes it is indeed important!

That preference is based upon culture, tradition, and loyalty. You may or may not understand the traditions or cultures regarding the idea of moral cleanness and virtue. The loyalty aspect is much easier to discuss. Men want a woman they can trust with sex as well as other aspects of a relationship. A man will prefer a young widow to a divorced woman for the same reason. The idea has more to do with not worrying about her looking for another behind his back. It may be a false idea, but it is one that is held. Another reason is religious. By tradition in Christian culture, a husband literally gives himself to his wife. Also, a wife literally gives herself to her husband. The phrase from the Bible, "Two become one flesh" comes to mind. A man does not want to share. If she is not a virgin, then she is also not entirely his with the exception of a widow.
That is such a part of our culture that it goes well beyond Christian cultures.

decent men like to know that they have had something pure, seeing thats virgins represents purity. it has also being said that you will never leave or it will be hard for you to leave the first man you had sex with. I think some men feed on this statement.

Because they want to know how long it will take for them to talk you into having sex. If you are a virgin, they have to work harder.
