They like them. It is less safe than staying on the ground. But we come from primates who swung through trees. Our ancestors hunted mammoths. Supervise. Take a few risks. It will help them avoid the childhood obesity problem which is probably the biggest risk.

oh yeah. that will keep them entertained for couple hours and you have some time to yourself. make sure you keep an eye on them at all times. make sure you buy the expensive ones that are more sturdy and tuff. so that they dont fall over with them. k? be safe and keep your kids safe. but dont just get them the slide. get themt he entire play set. with swings and slides and the tree house. its too much fun. im coming over!

My son loves his. I got him the 8 in 1 playscape by Little Tykes. I found it on www.Craigslist.com for a fraction of the price it costs new. It is hard plastic so it doesn't heat up like metal.

yeah sure why not? I have two slides (small one and large) and the kids play all the time. Even my 2 year old loves them -- of course I have to watch her on them even though she can climb up and slide by herself.
