If there is a court order to sell, you are pretty much out of options.
Call a local atty and have him inveistgate your options, but unless you can make a deal with your x, there isn't much you can do.

Yes, they can take your house.
You really, really need to get an attorney to help you go through your options. If you're short on money, you can try your local legal aid.
