It's not wrong to want revenge, but it is wrong to actually act on those feelings.
And remember, it's more your wife's fault than this guy/girl's.

It's not wrong to WANT to seek revenge.... but it is wrong to actually do it....
I've been in the position where I did go ahead and get revenge on someone, and it was a major let down. It's satisfying to imagine all the terrible things you can do to make the person you're angry with miserable, but, when it's all done, you end up feeling empty. You don't get that comfort you're looking for.....trust me.
What you can do instead, is do some things that will make you feel like a total champ. Work out, take care of yourself.....make a point to do something you've been meaning to do, whether that's finally joining a hockey team with your buddies, or having the guys over to watch a game and down some beers....
Fix something. Tune up the car.... Get down to the roots of who you are as a man, and then exude the energy you gain....
Your wife will be feeling worse than ever when you don't freak out, but instead better yourself....
As for the lover, forget him. He's a piece of Sh*t..... he knows it, and she actually does too, even if she's lying to herself.
You can get through this as a better person, and believe it or not that IS the best revenge!!!!

Not at all.................if you are 12. Act like an adult and take the high road. What is revenge going to get you? Do you really think it will make you feel better or erase the betrayal you feel from your wife? I hope you are smarter than that. Cut your losses, take time to heal, and move on. Revenge was fine in junior high but these days they will put you *** in jail and for what? Getting back at the wife who has already humiliated you? Yeah they sure will think you are cool and a force to be reckoned with in an orange jump suit behind bars. Act like the adult you are and get over it. Yeah it sucks but you know what it happens every single day. You may think revenge will make you feel better but it won't. You'll be just as pissed as you are right now......you'll just be sitting in jail while you are doing it. Take the high road dude. Kick the tramp to the curb and find you someone who will love and appreciate you the way you deserve.
Its very normal to want to blame the other person but in reality its your wife's fault. She is the one who had a commitment to you to be faithful. She broke it. If you have to blame anyone you should blame her.

I would guess its probably a natural feeling, although it would be a completely pointless action to really take. This person obviously doesn't care about you so what could you do that would bother them without getting yourself in to trouble? The best revenge you could take is letting him have your cheating wife, sit back and wait until he gets to be on the receiving end of what he participated in himself. Success is the best revenge, moving on with your life and being happy is the best way to get back at both of them!

That would put you in the same category as being on the Springer show where the rejected lover/spouse fights the new lover while the spouse sits in the middle with a smirk on his/her face. As much satisfaction as it would bring to bring revenge, it took 2 to tango. Your wife didn't keep her wedding vows...she's the one you want to deal with. (legally, of course)

its a completely natural inclination to want to destroy the person that ruined your family but revenge in the physical sense isn't the best idea. you'll probably just end up in jail. your best bet to divorce and sue your wife and get to him like that.

It's not that it's right or wrong, but it *is* pretty pointless and pathetic. Your time would be much better spent moving on and finding a lover of your own.
