Overrated - anything played on Mtv...just to be honest. It's all poppy meaningless crap, under the guise of teenie music, rap and rock. All junk.
Underrated - entirely too much.

I think 50 Cent is highly overrated; when he raps he sounds like he's about to go to sleep. As for underrated musicians, 12 Stones is a really good band that's not all that popular and doesn't get much radio play. Also, there is a little-known band called 38th Parallel (I'm not actually sure if they're still together). They only made one CD; musically it was pretty good, but they needed a different producer.

Are you severe about Kurt Cobain? rattling... you suck. you do not even deserve an answer to this question. besides, KISS is way overvalued, just about each and every thing on the charts today sucks, John Frusciante is amazingly UNDERRATED!!! Michael Jackson is not any more beneficial or a lot less overvalued than the different '80s pop "musician." i visit't keep the smile from my face even as describing the brood (jacko, madonna, rick astley) as musicians, lol. Limp Bizkit is likewise quite overvalued, and Fred Durst merits to die for protecting a music through The Who... did I say protecting? I think artists like Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton, Rhianna, Nick Lashey, are over rated.
I think John Mayer, The Fray, and Ok Go are under rated.

All the manufactured music sucks. It all started with N-sinc and the backstreet boys, now all of it is manufactured. These people dont write their own songs and they synthesize their voices so bad its like a robot singing.
Modern music is a scheme, rap SUCKS! Bring back the old band style, where they played as kids and made it together because of talent. I hate American Idol
