If you got straight D's, stayed home sick half the year, and called your teacher rude names it wouldn't make one tiny bit of difference in your life. That's how insignificant fifth grade is.
School is the mind killer, the little death...
Instead of 5th grade read 10 real books from the library on various subjects, not novels, take notes of interest while looking up in a dictionary any words you don't understand, and visit a museum and go hiking once each and you'll have a vastly superior education to anyone you know.

Don't worry. You think 5th grade will be hard? Take it from a 4th day High school freshman. Elemantary school is easy just about all of the way through, you just need to keep up your efforts.
If you're worried about the amount of work you'll get, think about this: Every night, I may have between 2 and 6, that's right, 6 hours of homework. Yep, that's what you have to look forward to.
The main points of 5th grade, and pretty soon to you middle school is to stick with you're friends, make sure to write down all of your assingments. One more very, very important thing: Stay organized.

Nope...
Going into fifth grade is as easy as going into any other grade... the trick is getting out again. It took me almost four years and I'm the smart one in the family.
Here are a few of the answers that finally got me a passing grade...

Actually 5th grade was a really easy grade for me and fun, too!
Its cool cuz you can make new friends and the school work is not that hard

Depends how intelligent you are. If you're at fifth grade level, don't worry about it. It'll probably be easy for you.

wow, you shouldn't even be on the net at your age. anyway, it's not hard at all, it will be so fun. i'm 22 and i remember how grown up i "though" i was in the 5th grade. going to the 6th, 7th and 8th will be pretty awesome, too. except the boys get crazy ...high school is something to anticipate. so enjoy your worry free years for now.

Each new year will present different challenges, but in the 5th grade you are on top of the heap as oldest in the school so you will own the place!

Yes this is my 10th year in the 5th grade, it is by far the hardest grade ever. Good Luck it may take you 3or4 times but you can do it.
