Ok Im really really sad because ive been playing volleyball for 4 years and tried out for the team at my skool and so did some of my friends that never played be4. They skipped pushups and stuff and I did everything right and they're kinda bad. They all made the team and I didnt even make manager. It's hard to stay happy when Im around them and I broke down and cried in front of one of them. How do I cope I cry almost everytime i see them!

Don't be sad. Soon, they'll mess up in a big game (don't mean to be rude or anything, but you're the one with experience, not them). Once people see how bad they really are, they'll definately look for someone better, and that will be your moment of glory. Believe in karma - you'll get what's coming to you, and trust me, it sounds like you definately deserve a place on the team! Best of luck hon!

Okay so this happened to me last year with the cheerleading team. I wanted on it so bad. I tried my hardest and was better than half of the people who made it! I almost felt like crying everytime I saw them! I felt like a dork and cry baby though. Just think, there's always another year. And by me not making it, I realized i didn't want to be a cheerleader. I mean it sucked for a month or two, but I also met the love of my life at a game because I wasn't cheering! So, just try not to worry about it too much. You'll end up with more than them.

Life is not always fair. The most competent don't always get the best job. Find a community volleyball team (your city's recreation department may have one).

Regarding the sadness, you are grieving for something lost. It does not have to be a death for grieving to occur. Check on the web for the steps of grieving, and allow yourself to go through them. If you can't progress on your own, then seek counseling.
