The likelihood is very high. A war against Iran would be an easy sell to the American public, even if it is decided unilaterally.
1) Ahmadenijad made pretty extremist statements against the 51st state of the U.S. (Israel)
2) They have a nuclear program running and despite them signing the non proliferation act they are being accused of making "the" bomb.
3) They have oil.
That the first two reasons are not real reasons for the Bush junta can be verified on the fact that we didn't invade North Korea. They have atomic bombs and they have made extremist statements, hence we are not there. Well... they don't have oil, they just have a starving populace.
Iran has oil, and sooner than you think we will also be there. Halliburton is already preparing...

No but Bush will push very hard for UN sanctions and other punishments.
The reason I am very confident in my 'no' answer is that Bush would never receive congressional support for military actions against Iran... not at this point. Thank God we have that safety net or I think the man might have tried to invade the world by now.

They need to be delt with somehow. America and Great Britain seem to be the only countrys with the balls to do it. If they are allowed nuclear weapons, Isreal, America and anyone else that they hate WILL have nukes sent at them. These people (the militants and haters) will die in a heartbeat having been brainwashed into believing that if they die fighting in this manner they will be closer to God. They don't care who dies, Women, children, civilian or military. They've already show that they would murder their own women and children... IT DOESN"T MATTER!!! EVERYONE ON THE PLANET WOULD BE A TARGET OF THESE PSYCHOS!!!! America will if it comes down to them having nukes or not.

Yes, I think the plan is to control the oil that Russia and China will need in the future and Iraq and Iran is part of that plan.

Because he's allready seen in Irak that there's no gain in attacking a country for the oil.
Because it might have gotten through to his one brain cell that If the people are against you, you're in for a bloody mess.
Because they wouldn't be making such a mouth if they didn't allready a few surprises(nukes) up their sleeves.

The present administration in it's wisdom will be tied up doing so called war on terrorism.
Iran knows if we attack it will be with a military
that is tired and has worn equipment.

Maybe not invade...we running low on soldiers. People aren't enlisting and 40,000 have deserted. Bush will go nuclear. That has been his plan all along. Israel with use nukes first, with our blessing.

Iraq contains the 2nd largest petroleum deposits in the world. I'm not sure where Iran ranks.
