a scrapbook. i found out later that she spent months on it.
it doesn't sound like a gift to give to a guy, but i really appreciated it. it was not something that i ever thought that i ever want. going through it was ... well, great

The best gifts i have gotten are not always the ones that cost alot. I really liked it when my wife planned a special evening for me. She made a picnic and took me to the forest preserve ( i am a nature nut) and brought beer/wine with. It was very nice cause i know all the work she went to do it. Plus she made all my favorite items.
You could always do his favorite sports team and take him to it, you can never go wrong with that.

After being married 16yrs, I get the same gift every day, that I treaure:
- The ability to date and have a girlfriend on the side, with her permission.

Promise ring. Not because it was jewelery but because of the meaning behind it (we recently became engaged... so he is making good on that promise :D). Also my next favorite was a sweet poem he wrote me.
