Like many of Duran Duran's songs, I have no idea what "The Reflex" means and it bothers me on occasion. Now with Yahoo! Answers, I'm hoping someone can even give me an educated guess...Thanks in advance!

i have no idea but you can find out at www.songmeanings.net and look up the lyrics and at the bottom it should tell you what the song means.

I believe they admitted that they composed that song drunk or high, and it means absolutely nothing. The words just sounded good together.

(Duran Duran comes from the movie Barbarella, btw...)

Edit - Brainyandy- the camera sound is at the beginning of "Girls On Film"... different, but equally cool song... :)

You may remember at the start of the record, there is the sound of a camera taking pictures in quick succession. You may also be aware of a type of camera known as an "SLR" camera. The letters "SLR" stand for "Single Lens Reflex". So "The Reflex" that they refer to is a camera.

I admit, I never knew, but that's the song that got me hooked. Simon LeBon was the hottest thing to me until A-ha's Morten Harket came along....I always liked pretty boys~
