You likely need to change your monitor option.
Control Panel, Display and select the TV Out as the relevant display.
I was assuming that you had set up the TV, lol ... That Girl is right - it could be that as well!

Well there are a few options. It depends what type of TV out you are using, whether it is composite, or DVI.
But I'm going to guess that you are using a composite cable ( a round plug, usually yellow). What you are probably forgetting is to set the computer to actually output something on that line. Try right clicking the desktop and selecting properties to bring up the display properties window.
Under the settings tab there may be an option to select the primary output device (first monitor, second monitor or TV). In addition you may have to set the resolution on the settings tab to a TV resolution (if this is not done automatically that is) and for a standard def television that is 352x240, I think, something near that anyway. But you'll probably have to guess and test a lot.
Good Luck!

You Have to Enable It First. Right Click And Go into Properties, Then Go To Settings. Then Click advanced. A window should pop-up. Click the Displays Tab, Then Click the power button symbol above the picture of the tv, Then click apply. That should do it ONLY If you have an ATI video card

you will need to have an internal converter installed for the connection to work. OR you may have to configure your computer to "display on another monitor". You do that in the display settings in the control panel.
If you don't have the appropriate hardware, you can buy what is called a PC to TV converter. I use AVerKey IMicro and TVator. With both, I still have to configure my laptop to show on external monitor.

what did you use to connect it (S-Video???)...you may also want to connect it whilst the pc is off and then switch it off....if this does not work check you display properties (the settings may also differ depending on the make)
but it should work if you connect it before switchin the pc (if the connecting cable works and you have chosen the correct AV channel on your tv set)
cheers
