They are very common and can't harm you. You might want to tell yourself this if you are able to feel one comming on. Probably the best thing to do is to lake long, slow, deep breaths and try and relax. Tell yourself that the sensation will pass and that you are not in any real danger.

Imagined danger.. Until you learn to control one, by learning that they always pass on there own with time, and that there is no real danger. You feel a sense of impending doom, and it feels like everything wont be ok. Heart rate goes up, hyperventilation, and disorientation occurr. Basically an extreme adrenal respose.I used to get them out of the blue. Not anymore.

you need to see a dr. about this,,it could be a real problem,,when you do have a panic attack you need to just control your breathing and keep in mind that you control these things,,it is a matter of mind over body!!!

They're awful. It feels like you can't breathe or you're having a heart attack. Some medications can help control them, though.

they're horrible - one minute everything is fine, the next you're crying your eyes out and don't know why. Add to that being a 19 yr old male and you've got a pretty much ruined world.
Prozac is a wonder drug.
