Ebay has a service set up on their web site. But to get you started..

1. You need an ebay account
2. You need to decide how you will accept your item payments(paypal, mastercard...checks, cash..so forth)
3. You need to find a host for your photos of your items.
4. You will need a digital camera to take photos of your items.
5. You will need to find packaging and decide on shipping costs before you list your item.
6. As for making your own web site...I would suggest you go to a "free" web hosting site, such as yahoo and use their tools to create your site.
Good Luck

Here is the link to eBay's Seller Education site: http://pages.ebay.com/education/selling.html There is so much information available regarding selling on eBay. Following eBay's step-by-step selling process is your best bet. Take some time to look at what's being sold now. You'll see many different styles, but you'll also see certain types of information that should be in all your listings. I've bought and sold hundreds of items on eBay. If you have any specific questions, feel free to email me.

GO to a Barns and Noble and sit and read a book on it and take notes. IF its a business, buy it, or pay someone to help

There are also store that now list and ship it for you for a percentage.
