How do I get firefox browser not to bring up the search bar ever time I try to type and apostrophe?

Go to tools >options > advanced >general tab
under accesibility uncheck the

"begin finding when you begin typing checkbox"

Wow cool..I didn't realize it did that. After playing with it, I notice that it does not come up when I am typing right now. If I click outside this box onto the page somewhere and then hit it, the find box opens. I don't see why it woudl be annoying, how often are you typing outside of an area such as this - on a blank part of a web page?

So, in Help, there is a complete list of keyboard shortcuts but not how to turn them off...

BTW, I found this:

Find As You Type Link is *
Find As You Type Text is /

No, G...that is not it because that box in my options is NOT checked to begin with but yet I can still use the / and * keys to get the find box to open.
