Try this: "[Insert bosses name], I have a chance to go to the OSU game and I want to go. I'd appreciate the day off but if not, I'd like to keep my job, but I understand that I will be fired when I don't show up."
Do it a politely as possible. Chances are that he will fire you, but because of how you tell him, he may not. No point in burning any bridges that don't need burning.

Ummm well if you REALLY want to go then stop at just telling him off. That way you will get fired BUT won't risk legal trouble from actually kicking his ***. If you want the job though it sounds like a bad plan. Actually if you want ANY job, it sounds like a bad job as that would follow you.

All your boss can do is Fire you for not showing up for work. If your in a Union, then more power to you because they should fight for you, and it would be harder for him to get rid of you.
If you cannot afford to loose this job, then you may want to think about whether your job is more important than a Football game. If you don't care, then don't care about what he says and go watch some football. He doesn't control your life anymore than what you allow him to.

In the hip, real, streets, ghetto, macho, hoodlum and hip-hop world, it sounds good to whoop some a**. You can be charged with assault and battery. They can put your a** in jail. If the game is that important resign, go to the game and then find a job next week.

Find another outlet for your anger. For example, just quit your job and go to the game. You'll feel really great about it--well, at least until later when you have to go find another job and have a crappy reference from this one. BUT, you'll get to enjoy the game! I guess it's just a matter of choices.

No, he's the boss, obviously a little smarter or he'd be working for you. He's liable to sue the pants off you and probably has the money to do it. Quit, if the game is that important to you!

don't kick his *** though because then he can press charges on you...you wouldn't want that.

Only if you are sure no one will ever call him for an employment reference and the jail you'll be going to is carring the game
