Superman has a greater symbol on his chest, that's for sure. Though Cap's star is pretty big too.

Yes its true Superman is an immigrant but **** how do u think america was made (blk/asians & other slaves lol) people come 2 this country all the time for a better life, most 2 live the American dream & superman holds that up. Cpt am is a tool for war & made by the military while superman is not, he had 2 good proud Americans 2 raise him & teach him right from bad good 4rm evil & that every life is important & worth saving, the military did not tell capt am that did they ? SUPERMAN IS THE BEST 2 represent America & the whole world even if he aint human

Superman. I have barely heard of Captain America, whilst Superman has completely taken over not only media, but has tied a knot in the hearts and traditions of the American people by bringing a common thread from the comic books to the movies to just the great thrill of...Superman!

Superman. Why give symbols of America "ranks". Is he Captain in what army?

I believe that Captain America should remain as the symbol of the United States due to the history and era in which he was found.

Superman is a great symbol of mankind. Different people with many ideas, tastes, dreams, as well as conflicts, yet we do not stop in trying to come to agreements.
Others should admire our existence.

Superman is a greater symbol to the world, because he's not even human- he's from another planet and this is his adopted home. For a national hero, Cap can't be beat.

While Superman is the ultimate immigrant, I would have to give the honor to the good Captain, he has spent his entire fictional life defending the American way of life, the last time Superman inspired anybody was when he died. ( Batman Infinite Crisis)

Superman should be true he was not born here but he was brought up with all the morals that has made this country great the founding fathers envisioned this to be great and powerful somewhat peaceful and somewhat fair Superman is all that and more

I think that we ought to go back to our founding fathers, who must have had incredible foresight when they suggested making the turkey be our national bird. I am sure most of the bald eagles out there would agree. After all, our country nearly caused their extinction.
A turkey would be more fitting than either Superman or Captain America. How about Super Turkey or Captain Turkey?

Captain America. At least he's from the USA. Superman isn't even from this planet.
