Smoking drains vital vitamins like Vitamin A-C-E.
Dont sit where the smoke blows near ya.
Smoke usually goes up. Maybe u have allergy from the carpet or a pet.
Smoking is a matter of taste and choice and tobacco was what
started this country.
Just tell your Dad to take vitamin C to improve his health and keep his lungs safe while smoking.
I used to make pics in the air off my daddys smoke trails.
think more positive and just make sure your dad eats good foods and take vitamin C for his lungs....
Sit somewhere else if u dont like his smoke.
Love your father , and dont give him a hard time about smoking.

Yes,smoking is very bad to the person that smokes&it worst to the person thats not smoking cause 2nd hand smoke only goes in have nowhere to escape. So if you are breathing it in stop now your lungs are going to be just as dry, dirty&effected as your dad. My did was a smoker too so I know. You also get this cough usully the doctors tell you its a upper respiratory infections, allergies, and mucous membrane irritants.

Give your father a damned hard time about smoking around you! There's a reason the big tobacco companies were sued by the government: They lied to the public for DECADES about the health risks of smoking and passive smoking.
Approx. 3,000 people die in the U.S. each year as a direct result of second-hand smoke, according to the Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. government agency).
Ask your Dad how he would feel if YOU got lung cancer because of his smoking.
In the U.K., 17,000 children under the age of five are admitted to hospital every year with illnesses resulting from passive smoking. (http://www.ash.org.uk/html/passive/html/kidsbrief.html)
As a compromise, ask him to smoke outside. Or, if you have a fireplace, have him lie by the fire and blow the smoke up the chimney. That's what my Dad did. Or put a fan in a window next to his favourite chair which he can turn on when he lights up.
The best thing to do is nag him to death to quit smoking - not just for your sake, but for everyone in your house including your Dad.

Smoking does make your lungs dirty but i dont know about dry. Smoking also causes your lungs to have tar in your lungs and they start filling up making it harder for people to breathe. Its not a good thing to be around. Stay away from it as much as you can!

Smoke my dear will kill you. Second hand smoke is probably worst than smoking yourself. Tell your dad that if he loves you he won't do that and he could at least open the window. People get hooked on tobacco and don't realize what it can do to the ones they love.

Yeah, it does make them dirty. I'm not sure about if it makes them dry. Your dad needs to be a little more careful about where he smokes. I am a smoker myself, but I never smoke in close proximity of non-smokers. I don't force my bad habits on other.

both smoking and second-hand smoke can cause cancer. Has he tried the "patch", hypnosis, etc?
