If you were a heavy cannabis user you may experience a couple of restless nights, make sure you have distractions, books, music, dvds etc. You will definitely feel better if you do some exercise. Being properly hydrated and eating healthily can only make you feel better although don't expect miracles, it all comes down to willpower. You might also experience some mood swings and at times your resolve might be inclined to wane but keep your aim in mind at all times, think of the money you will save and how much better you will feel and look. May I suggest you first give up cigarettes and cannabis and once you're over that, you can give up caffeine. Good luck!

Go to bootcamp! no really...do all your friends smoke as well? this can be really hard to give up these things when you are around people who are doing it too. Give yourself a week apart from your friends and maybe you will see that you won't smoke as much...which is a start. Also a week away from the cannibis should revitalise you and you should feel less lazy and more willing to "get up and go", which is encouragement in itself! Keep yourself occupied - when I gave up smoking I felt like I needed to do something with my hands, so I started reading books instead! as for caffeine, I DO still drink it, but only 3 cups a day and I stop at 3pm so it doesn't interfere with my sleeping. Good luck!

Well, going to jail would most probably take care of the cigarettes and cannabis but you can still get coffee in jail if you have the money to buy it from the commissary.
I would suggest that you work on the worse of the lot first and delete one of them at a time.
You first of all have to be determined to stop using it. Then you have to summon up all of your willpower and tell yourself everytime you are tempted that you are in control and you know that your body wants whatever it wants but that you are not going to give it to it. Also, getting your physician involved would be a good idea as long as you are honest with him/her.
Drinking lots of water is good at anytime because it flushes all of the bad stuff out of your body but I don't know that is a cure for getting rid of your cravings.
Good luck to you and may your higher power Bless you.

I'd say one at a time but if your going to give up smoking I have to recommend Allan Carr's Easy way to give up smpking book. 10 years, 20 attempts at giving up, 4 of them really serious, no hope. Read the book, Have just never wanted to smoke since, 3 years on, don't miss it much except if I'm really drunk maybe but not enough to crack. Same method in the book would work for canna or most addictive substances you want to give up. all his books do is turn off your mental addiction to substances, and when thats gone you can realise that physical addiction to canna is zero and to cigarettes it's laughably weak... Thats my advice any how.
And the good thing is when you quit this way, you free your self mentally from these thing that are killing you, instead of giving up those pleasures you enjoyed, so you don't spend the rest of your life missing it still getting urges.

First I commend you for wanting to do so and realizing that is will take a whole lot of commitment on your part. You have already answered part of your question by consuming loads of water. It also helps to have positive thinking and saying no to yourself when the craving is gnawing at you at its best. Remember each day you go without is a day of success for you. You will have to be your own support group. It also helps by not socializing with others who participate in weakness. It will make you a much stronger individual and you will soon feel in the process much better health not to mention more income on hand.
I wish you the best! you can do it!!

the first thing you need to find is an establishment with a padded room(I'm serious!)..if you try to come off all this at once you will go mad..stop smoking first..that's the fags and cannabis out the way..then don't drink coffee..or any caffeine based drink like red bull...switch to diet caffeine free coca cola..if you find the padded room .then ask for a telly DVD player and a pile of DVDs,and ask to be fed 3 meals a day...as long as you have access to toilet and washing ..you can go crazy dealing with the withdrawal symptoms..and harm no one but your self...then when you get out..and fancy anything that you have just given up..think of the hell you put yourself through to get to the point of freedom..

Have a plan. Give up the cannabis first. After afew weeks give up the fags. Then after a few months give up the caffine. Good luck, you will need a lot fo will power. Alternatively go to your doctor who can help you with 2/3

It might be asking a bit much to give all three up at once. Might I suggest a gradual lifting of one at a time?
If you're set on give them all up at once, more power to you, but I doubt you'll succeed no matter what you try. However, keeping yourself busy is your best bet. Starting up a fitness routine and drinking a lot of water certainly couldn't hurt.

Why would you want to give up things you enjoy?Life is for living, not just existing. If you follow all the health guidelines, you may die of boredom. The man who popularised jogging,a Canadian, went out for a jog a few years ago,& never came back, searchers found him dead at the side of the road.I must admit,he was the fittest-looking corpse in Canada, but he was still dead.Remember,a little of what you fancy does you good.

Buy nicotine patches for the smoking. If you intend to function I would suggest you tapper off of the caffeine. To cold turkey caffeine, you will spend your days with a throbbing headache and lethargic.
