Who has advice to change her mind? Tonight when I get home my wife and I are going to discuss breaking up?

our asphalt driveway. I want to hire someone, my wife wants us to do it. How do I make her see my point? Waste of time, I say. Let someone else demolish it.

I don't know if I could learn how to do that.. maybe I could copy her for a second or 2 before I forgot again. some time my brain works slow. I believe that if she showed me enough times that i might eventually learn how. I'm really slow on some things. cant spell too good either. glad there is a spell checker..I wouldn't put a time frame on my learning tho. I'm pretty slow when it comes to asphalt. maybe by the time she had shown me enough for me to get the last 2 or 3 inches of it.

There's just some things that i don't believe that I can learn in this lifetime...

I had my driveway repaved last year. They came in with bulldozers to bring up the asphalt. I can't even imagine doing it myself. This is a big job, also with them doing it, they use heavy equipment and dispose of the asphalt for you and recycle it. Where is she going to put this asphalt once you break it up? You have a financially conscious wife, but sometimes you need to hire out.

I have an idea! Tell her to go ahead and start it before you get home so she can see first hand how hard and time consuming it is. Plus have her call around and find out where you can take it, most land fills won't take it, another problem.
