Send the GC a Certified Letter, detail your complaint, and list the number of times you called him- you may have to prove in court that you contacted him.
If you State requires a license for Builders, some don't like Texas and Indiana ? Contact the Consumer Protection Agency, in that case, but Contact the License bureau for Builders in your State if they have to have a License.
Have a Lawyer write that Certified letter if you can afford it- Get on his case and stay on it.

Any repatuable builder gives a 10 year war. I he does not want to fix. than make the builder sorry for ever selling the house to you. The consumer needs to stand up and not take it anymore from Big business. Stand up Americans

You should have a HOW warranty. Structure is usually covered with the HOW. A lot of it has to do with your financing: FHA, VA, Conventional?

Good luck
