How are the A's a darkhorse? Like you said, they have the fourth-best record in baseball, and they've got a good hold on that division.
Once the playoffs are set, I don't think there's such a thing as a darkhorse team, especially in a best-of-seven series where luck and chance are determining factors.

I'm not sure I agree with Lefty but if the Dodgers get there they would definitely be a Dark Horse. You could almost say anyone other than the Mets coming out of the NL would be a dark horse at this point.
