I have no symptoms and i was stressing out really bad in july, but after i took the first test i stopped stressing, so i figured that id get it, but its August now and i still havent gotten it, and im starting to stress out again.

ok im gonna put this in extreme detail. I had protected sex on june 9th. Since then i've taken 3 pregnancy tests that all came out negative. After i took the first one i stopped stressing out and i figured id get my period soon, and its August and i still havent. I'm fat, but i havent been gaining or losing weight, i'm not active, i have irregular periods, im TERRIFIED of needles (getting blood drawn), i havent changed my diet, and im not on any medication. I'm not doing anything differently as i have any other time. I dont have a doctor, i dont have insurance, and i dont have a job.

Go to the doctor. They can perform all kinds of tests....you'll find out what it is there. Good luck!

Oh honey, I've been down this road before!

There are lots of things to consider when deciding what your next course of action should be.

How old are you? If you are in your 20's you are way more likely to really be pregnant than if you are in your 40's.

Do you normally have irregular periods? I am guessing you are pretty regular if you noticed you were late. Even if you are regular, sometimes they are just farther apart and you think you're overdue.

When you say protected, does that mean the pill or a condom or something else? The rate of failure is higher with some forms of birth control, as we all know. And it only takes one time for the condom to slip off... (I used to think people were just really lazy/retarded when they said that happened...until it happened to me!)

Have you been taking any antibiotics? If you have and you're on the pill, you are way more likely to be pregnant. Sometimes the pharmacy doesn't warn you that the antibiotics can make the pill worthless.

Even if you think the chances are pretty unlikely that you are pregnant, you should really schedule an appointment with your doctor. If you are older, you may be approaching perimenopause and your doctor can give you a better idea of what's coming up and what you can do. If you are younger and not ready to be pregnant, you may want to talk to the doctor about a more reliable form of birth control.

Good luck!

Chances are you very well could be pregnant. HPT will never give a false positive but they can give a false negative. The HPT tests for a hormone only found in pregnant women but if your pregnant you might just have that hormone at a low level, too low for the HPT to detect. What I really think you need to do is go to the Doctor ASAP - they can give you a blood test that will be more accurate and maybe even a sonogram. But if your not pregnant something else could be really really wrong and your doctor can help you find out why your missing your period and how serious it is. It's also important to find out for sure if your pregnant ASAP because if you are than you gotta get your vitamins and regular appointments to make sure the baby is growing healthy. If you don't have insurance most communities have places for help w/ pregnancy and I believe planned parenthood can give you a blood test. I hate to sound like a pest but I really think you need to call some kind of health care professional today, like right now :) Good Luck!

Go get a checkup with your obgyn. You may have irregular periods. Sometimes when you are under stress, your menstural cycle can get out of whack. So I would get a professional exam from your obgyn to be sure if whether you are with child or not. I try to not to have sex during my period, but like you said there is no guaranteed protection.

well, stress can cause your body not to have periods, as well as doing a lot of physical activities, are you involved in a sport of some sort? Plus, age has something to do with it and your diet. It could be a lot of things, the best thing to do is go to the gyno

if they say negative, then they probably are, go get a blood test and talk to your doctor about possible reasons for not getting it.
