It means vaginally cleaning urself, for example, Summer's eve and other brands have a bottle of DOUCHE that has a nozzle you twist on or pull on that is inserted into the vigina for thorough cleansing, although it is not reccommended to be used very frequently, it helps refresh you and clean inside. Some use it after their menstrual. Ask your Gynecologist if you really aren't sure! :)

It means using a solution, usually vinegar and water to cleanse the interior of your genital area. It's not only unnecessary as the vagina is self-cleaning, it can be harmful. There is a delicate balance in that area and upsetting it by douching can cause yeast infections or bacterial vaginitis.

Go buy a bottle of "Eve" douch at Walgreens, look at the package, follow the directions, try it yourself then you'll know.

contrary to another's answer most doctors will tell you it isn't a healthy thing to do. do a search on the web under women's health issues--once on the site look up douching and read what dr.'s especially gynecologists opinions of it are.
