This is going to look weak but work with me.
The league I am in starts 4 RBs with one W/R slot. Thats five possible all together (ridiculous I know). I have LT and Ruben as my first two but nothing after that. My choices are:

Mike Alstott vs Bal
Lendell White vs NYJ
& Kevin Faulk vs Buf

The best projected players left on the market are Brian Calhoun, William Green, and Zach Crockett.

Before you start calling me an idiot know that the other 11 managers are in the same situation. No one has five starters and only one manager has four. That said, nobody is trading backs right now.

Who would you start?

Like I said no one is trading backs. I have had about 20 offers get shot down from almost every team. Some were really loppsided against me too.

Alstott, then White

If you are lucky, you will get a vulture touchdown from somewhere. Cadillac doesn't yet have a nose for the end zone. Alstott gets 5 or 6 a year that way.

Avoid Zach Crockett. Jordan is more than capable of shoving it in the end zone. Oakland is going to become a pass first offense completely. They will fall behind early and often.

I wouldn't bash you for this - your league rules are silly though. 12 teams means there's a minimum of 48 RB starting every week.

That said, start Lendale White, he could at least get some goal line action, should Tennessee get that close.

Pick up William Green - you have Reuben already, so it makes sense. You'll have covered any possible CLE rushing TD (not that there'll be many, but they do have New orleans week 1). With your rules, handcuffing players isn't that bad of an idea. Maybe even playing Michael Turner would be a good idea (if SD is up or down big, he'll get playing time).

Faulk would be my 5th choice - though I am guessing you must have a WR you could play in that spot instead.

Wow. First, I would trade Reuben Droughns for 2 decent running backs. He's way too overated... he already lost the both the starting and backup center on the O-line! Next, I would start looking at ---Travis Henry--- on the titans instead of White. Why? Reports say that he's outbattling Brown for the starting job!
Don't even look in the direction of ----Kevin Faulk--- because he is now the 3rd running back behind dillon and Maroney.
Another RB you could look at is ---Correl Buckhaulter--- because of Westbrooks recent injuries, and because he is sometimes featured as the goaline back.
I have no idea what ever happend to alstott. Remember when he used to score a TD every game he played? If you want to risk it, Alstott might get the table scraps from Cadillac on the goaline in order to preserve their star back's body... don't count on it though.
Another back you could have success with is Ron Dayne. He should be going to another team soon. Of course we know he had a lot of success because of the line in denver, but Dayne could be worthy in a 5 RB league.
Toefield could get a few looks in Jacksonville with Fragile Fred starting and greg jones already out.
Finally, try to get a back on the texans. Domanick Davis is on the edge of IR which will open the flood gates for the other backs.

Wow....that is tough. I would guess Mike has the best chance of the three. He could possibly get a goal line carry. Slim pickings.
