Someone more like JC Watts than say Jesse Jackson, but I don't know of any black candidates that I'd run out to vote for (although I'm sure more than one exists).

i don't think anyone can be the first black president at this time b/c there are no black candidates for it. it's either Cheney or the Democrat candidate. but it would be nice to have one, give a different spin to running.
