If breathing isn't an issue, then David Blaine showed in his stunt that you can survive a week underwater. However, he did suffer sever skin damage as a result, as well as shooting pains from beginning nerve damage, so it's not a good idea to stay that long underwater even though it's possible. Usually you stay underwater roughly 2 days before you start suffering serious symptoms from doing so.
