Galactus. Ok, Galactus is a cosmic being and Superman is just an alien with super powers. Galactus eats planets while Superman is continuosly battelling a human named Lex Luthor. Galactus has his own heralds, something like Apocalypse, only that they have cosmic and each of them would be able to take down Superman, such as The Silver Surfer. Therefore, if Superman ever challenges Galactus, he won't even look at Superman, since he's less then a bug to him, he's just send out The Silver Surfer and he will show Superman who's the boss around. The only way to defeat Galactus is, like proven by the Fantastic Four, using your brains and not your powers. Since Superman is known for his strength and not his inteligence, not that he lacks of it like The Hulk or anything, but Superman will try to fight Galactus using his brawn and not his brains and that's why he will loose.
Now if Batman would fight Galactus, he could win since he's just a human and he always wins his battles because he uses his head. He will find a weakness that Galactus has and exploit it so send Galactus away. There is not way Batman or Superman could defeat Galactus in a straight up battle, but they could if they find something that Galactus is week to... if there is such thing of course.
Galactus can battle Gods like Thor and win without having to do much, and Thor also can kick Superman's a$$.

Galactus would barely even NOTICE Superman... He'd be too busy eating the Sun.
Post-crisis, Superman's power level is at high-end of superheroes, so he's like Thor and the Silver Surfer in the Marvel Universe. But Galactus is another matter entirely.

Depends. If superman was near a yellow sun possibly.... if he was not heck no. Now if Galactus could trap superman away from the sun then he could also take him down. Everyone always thinks superman is so great but honestly you take away the radiation of the sun and he is just a normal person. I think the comic betrays this fact a lot. So I would say Superman would win if he fought him on earth... but if Galactus was smart... he would eat the sun.... then superman... then the earth.

Silver Surfer has and can and would mop the floor with Superman and the speeds he can travel at Batman helping or not they're both dead easily he could kill them out of orbit for goodness sake then what Superman flies out confronts the Surfer gets destroyed by Surfer reporting back to Galactus that is was merely a fly on his shoulder we need a stronger way stronger fight for Galactus damn i even see Apocalypse struggling here and i even think he could beat Superman.

I'd say Superman because his invulnerability appears to be better than that of Galactus.

the only way superman would have a chance is to hit him with every thing he has while moving faster than light the whole time. if he doesn't slow down his pace at all he could win.
