Sadly, all of the automatic Superman fanboys don't know much about Supes.
I'll bet they aren't remembering that Lobo kicked his butt pretty good the first time he went looking for Superman- or more likely, they never even read that issue. Lobo's basic comment was "Come on big blue, you've got the super strength and all, but you fight like a butler, while I'm a mad dog!"
He's got TWO major weaknesses, not one- magic and kryptonite. Against magic, Superman isn't invulnerable- in fact he's got even less resistance than someone like Wonder Woman or Captain Marvel who's more accustomed to fighting magical foes.
Thor's lightning is mystical and would put a mighty hurt on him- plus.. Hello, they are dead-even in Strength! Thor can toss him around just as easily as he can toss Thor around. But Thor has thousands of years of experience in battle- advantage to Thor.
His heat vision isn't some great equalizer here, he's not fighting Iceman, we're talking Marvel's God of Thunder. The heat vision is just another garden-variety heat ray for purposes of a battle, no worse than Fafnir the dragon's flames.
So this battle would be a toss-up. They fight 50 times, they would probably split 25/25.
Superman Fans- go out and buy a copy of Kingdom Come. It's probably the best comic starring Superman ever written...

Aw, c'mon, it's Superman... hands down! He could zap Thor with Heat Vision... or simply send him beyond the moon with a single toss... or hit him at super-speed so much that... hey, with all those super powers? Superman, easily. Ain't any other as mighty as good ol' Supe (except maybe Muhammed Ali who whupped Superman about 30 years ago when they fought!)

It depends. If superman prime fought thor then thor would be destroyed. If Thor fought regular superman then it would be a fairly even fight, but in the end thor would be the victor.

I think Thor. Thor is a god. He could always call up pops or one of his other friend gods and get them to change the color of the sun so that superman has no powers. Then he can whoop his butt. Just my take. Thor is a god.... and Superman is really just a mortal that has powers due to our yellow sun.

Thor does not have a healing aspect, via his Asgardian body structure as well as being the son of Odin he's purely extra hardy than the mandatory resident of Asgard. they could heal at a significantly better cost than ordinary people yet in case you observe , Odin hasn't ever grown his eye back nor Tyr regrown his hand. as well Kal-El does not have tremendous intelligence , it is clear through the actual undeniable truth that contained in the Justice League technologies concerns are frequently dealt with through both Batman, The Martian Manhunter, The Atom, metallic, through Mr.ideal. to respond to your question, Superman would finally win even with the undeniable fact that it may be an excellent conflict. He has diverse reward powerwise yet Thor's powers being mystically in nature carry them really in direction of even. followers of Superman say he's a lot more proper, yet in Norse mythology Thor lifted the Midgard serpent a reptile so huge it encircled the entire Earth.

Thor, he wields magic. Superman vulnerable to magic. Easy one. Read Kingdom Come...Now imagine Thor getting hit with his own lightning instead of Cap Marvel, and laughing. Easy one.
