Burning on your feet is normally a side effect of athletes foot. And no, you don't have to be an athlete or go to a gym or anything to get it....you can get it ANYWHERE just walking around barefoot, suprisingly even your own house! Try some different types of foot powder and use it three times a day. Especially between the toes. That should help with the burning.

There are many conditions that cause painful, burning feet. Have you been to a foot doctor? If not, I'd suggest you do that, since you could have a condition called "Morton's Neuroma" or plantar warts, or fasciitis, and these conditions can be corrected or cured. Maybe you're wearing the wrong kind of shoes. You might also try the Dr. Scholl's counter at the drug store. They have a lot of corrective insoles that also soothe the feet and cushion and absorb the shock when you take each step.

I have a question. Why do people like Tammy have to say smart remarks? If you genuinely don't care for the question leave it as is and don't respond. Anyway it depends. Athlete's foot - did you have a recent injury? If you had an injury and you have a burning sensation, sensitivity it could be something called RSD. It can pretty much be anything - the RSD is a little extreme but I figured I'd put it out there

If it is localized, superficial and accompanied by peeling flaking skin, it is athlete's foot, try Tinactin spray which can be found OTC. If the pain feels interior, it could be neuropathy which is a complication of diseases like diabetes--are you diabetic? It could also be idiopathic in origin. If that is the case, see a doc and they can put you on the appropriate meds. Neuropathy isn't deadly or dangerous...just uncomfortable and would require meds. to control symptoms. It also could be a neuroma, which would require specially designed shoe soles.

are you diabetic? diabetes can cause autonomic neuropathy, and patients often complain of a burning sensation in their feet. if you're not diabetic (and you know this because you've had your blood sugar tested) then maybe a bulging vertebral disk or peripheral nerve compression.

sounds like you have athletes feet. Gold bond powder, or lotramin ultra will work. If it continues or gets worse, see your doctor.
