I'm unable to sign into my yahoo messenger, I don't even have the icon on my computer (the lil yellow guy) I can't even download messenger again! Please help

Try clearing the cache on your computer. Also check and see if the program is listed under your control panel under add/remove programs. If it is remove it so you can do a quick install. If that doesn't work look in my computer -> C:\program files\yahoo messanger. If the folder is there look and see what is inside of it. You may just need to drag a icon onto the desktop.

Try going to add/remove programs and 'uninstall' thoroughly. You also can go to Yahoo support and there's information there on how to TOTALLY uninstall..... or get some kind of reg cleaner. Make sure you reboot whenever you install or uninstall a program.
You might try disk cleanup. Just make sure you can't find any files anywhere. Try using the Search feature and type in messenger and see where there may be some hidden files.

Easily unistall your Yahoo and try to download the Setup file from this URL:
http://download.yahoo.com/dl/msgr8/us/ymsgr8us.exe
(remember, it is the main setup file about 8 MB!)
Don't worry about the installation...there's no problem with it because you have the whole file in your computer and there's no need to extra connection to Yahoo site...so, there won't be any problems.
If you are using any proxy program it may be the reason for that problem..

try going to add/remove programs in the control panel and see if its there if it is, uninstall it and then try re-downloading it .thats what i would do.
