This season's controversal "Survivor" of having racial tribes is having more trouble now. First it was a media backlash because of the tribes. Now it's losing sponsors. GM pulled out. Doritos and a couple of other companies left too. Do you think that this season of Survivor will be pulled, if they don' findt any sponsors by the 9/14 season premiere? Or do you think they'll pull it off just in time, two weeks from here?

It will not be canceled. In fact, a lot of people are going to watch. CBS will do fine as long as they grouped the tribes equally in terms of mental and physical strength. If they don't, then some people will complain that they are reinforcing stereotypes. However, in the end, we will see that people are individuals and that race and ethnicity is only one factor that makes us alike. So, check it out on 9/14. It will be social experiment at first but then it will be just another competition in the the end.

That is a good question. I think that they are goint to try to at least air it to see what the public thinks about it. If the ratings turn out to be a success, then, all the hype and racial divide was worth getting the ratings they were looking for. But, if the ratings are going to be less then stellar, they are going to keep it on until there is no point of it and then they will have to cancel it. But, if it does become successfull, what are they going to do for next season? How will they top that? parents against their own children? Wait......I think an exec just got another idea!

there's no way they will cancel survivor, someone somewhere will sponsor it. Granted this promises to be one of the most talked about survivor's yet i can't wait, I'm counting down the days baby!
They can't expect Jeff to continue doing the same thing every time how is this any different than putting young men and young women against the old men and old women. People out there are just looking for something to criticize. The ones that are complaining are the racists and they need to grow up.

OMG, I hope not!! What is wrong with changing things around some? I do hope it is not cancelled. I have loved it from the beginning. My granddaughter thinks it is "racist". I don't know if that's true, but the old format has worked in the past. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!

I think they'll somehow be able to pull it off, and I think that comment that ashtonw05 made was hilarious...now THAT would be worth watching!

I really don't understand what the problem is. This is a "Reality Show" and in real life people separate themselves by what race they are. I wish this wasn't a true statement but it is.
