mine did- but just a little...it travels higher and higher untill the end of the preg. but I think it has to do with skin color too- I dont think its as prominant in fair skin whites as it is in olive tone, or black and hispanic people.

I think it showed up in the second trimester when my "belly" started to grow. I dont have one this time. I am 36 weeks into my second pregnancy. I asked the dr. about it and he said that the "line" shows up because of a hormone that you release. By the way I am very pale skinned so I dont think skin tone has anything to do with it?

Just depends on the person and their body. I'm 28 weeks pregnant and I still don't have a line. Never have. I belong to a pregnancy message board and some of the lady's there had them in the first trimester, some of them later on, and some still don't have them.

I didn't have a line either time that I was pregnant. My first was full term and the second was 5 weeks early.
I think it's supposed to show during the last trimester.

that line does show up and it has to do with hormonal changes due to pregnancy. but when it shows up is individual, mine became visible in the mid of the second trimester and got really dark by the end.

It usually happens in the third trimester. And a lot of poeple don't get it. It's also more noticable in darker toned people.

It varies person to person. Some people get it and some people don't. I got mine during the second trimester.

I think that happens in the third trimester, and it's more likely to happen if you have darker skin.

It sounds like you are referrencing the "linea nigra" . It shows up more commonly on dark skin vrs fair skin. I never had it show up (I have fair skin). I believe it starts to show in 2nd or 3rd tri. It should fade after delivery.

I didn't get one with either pregnancy but I'm naturally very pale. I don't know if that makes a difference.
