because a lot of horror movies in fact probably all of them are based on some kind of identical story

Okay here is the deal, a film maker (one of my best friends is one- I wont name drop though) can take any real life event and make a film about it and say that is it "based on actual events" Like" texas chainsaw films, they say htey are based on real events But actually are not- they are based off a serial killer named Ed Gein form Wisconsin. Liek leather face wore the skin of the victims, Ed Gein wore his victims skin as well.Hence based on actual events...so if some kid killed his sister on halloween then they could have based the film on it
