I have a 1997 Ford Ranger and my passenger side seat belt buckle (the female end) is broken. How would i replace that?

A friend of mine told me that it is connected to the bolts that hold the seat down, but i can't see that far and don't want to waste a bunch of time unbolting a seat if that isn't correct.

Anybody got a clue? I'd appreciate it.
Thanks

take out the seat...
remember to re-tighten them very hard so that they don't accidently come loose.

You should be able to follow the belt to verify that it is connected to the same bolts as the seat.

It sounds like your a little low on the get up and go.

IF YOUR CAR HAS AIRBAGS YOU MUST DISCONNECT THE BATTERY AND ALLOW TO DISCHARGE FOR AT LEAST THIRTY MINUTES OR YOU RISK SETTING OFF THE AIRBAG VIA THE SEAT BELT PRE TENSIONER ON THE SEAT,THESE TIGHTEN THE BELT IN AN ACCIDENT AND ARE DIRECTLY LINKED TO YOUR AIRBAG,BE CAREFUL.NOT TRYIN TO PUT YOU OFF DOIN THE JOB,IT AINT THAT HARD,NEW AIRBAGS COST A FORTUNE.
