i can tell you one thing is was not President. Eisenhower. he had a perfect eight year run of no wars. some advisers were lost, but no Troops . he also brought the peace to Korea.your question implies that the president was personally responsible for the deaths.where do you draw the line. with your presumptions ,i can say Kennedy was responsible for Vietnam, Eisenhower would not involve the troops there. Kennedy and Johnson did. do we blame them? Lincoln was not responsible for the civil war. the south started it at fort Sumter so do we blame him? Wilson sent troops to ww1 without a clear and present danger to our country do we blame him? japan and Germany declared war on us do we blame FDR and Truman? Korea? do you blame Truman? I was against the war in Iraq. but if want me to personally blame bush, then i also blame Kennedy and Johnson and Wilson and Truman too. there is plenty of fingerprinting to go around. let's be fair and honest about it.

Statistically, if by "killed the most people" you mean made policy decisions in wartime that resulted in the most direct deaths, it'd be tough to call--either FDR, Lincoln, or Truman.
Coincidentally, among these are also the two presidents I would consider the best to date--FDR & Lincoln. This may have something to do with the difference between fighting wars because one must and fighting wars, like Kookoobananas in the White House now does, for political gain and a reputation for being strong.

Let's use Bill Clinton's sex definition as an example.
It won't be Bush.
If you are talking about the President who had the most people die on his watch that would probably be FDR. What was it 10 million Russians, 6 million Jews, and the list goes on and on.
Now who really killed someone. That would probably be Washington, Jackson, Tyler, or Grant. Let's see Harry Truman was in charge of a Artillery battery during WWI. Would that count? John Kerry could have made the list but he didn't win did he!*LOL*

I would have to say either George HW Bush, for his combat missions in WWII, Teddy Roosevelt for his combat in the Spanish American War, or Andrew jackson for his service in war of 1812 at lower ranks.
I am sure some of the others with miltary service had the opportunity for a kill, but my money would be on one of these 3.

First of all, I think this is a really stupid question.
Factually, it was Truman; he ordered the deployment of hydrogen bombs over Hiroshima and Nagasaki. What the bleeding hearts of today that are demonizing him for that fail to remember is that UNPROVOKED,THEY ATTACKED US AT PEARL HARBOR. If you're in a fight, then you have to use everything at your disposal to prevail; God made you with a survival instinct. What these idiot liberals also fail to realize is that this act is what ended the war; not to have done it would've cost more American lives.
But in my opinion, people who ask this kind of question should be slapped a couple of times. And then smacked on the back of the head and called Stupid.

Lincoln (Civil War), if you are referring to American people. The numbers for non-American people dead from wars will not likely be accurate numbers because US propaganda will change the true numbers to lower numbers. i.e. If you search total deaths brought on from post 9-11 wars, the numbers are "all over the map".

The president can't have "credit" for killing the citizenry (in my opinion) but if you look to the guys who were in power during the War of Northern Agression, you will find some impressive body counts during the administration of Lincoln.

My guess would be Andrew Jackson.
he became an outstanding young lawyer in Tennessee. Fiercely jealous of his honor, he engaged in brawls, and in a duel killed a man who cast an unjustified slur on his wife Rachel
He is one of the few presidents that actually participated in a battle as a combatant. However I imagine that Teddy Roosevelt must have got off a few rounds on San Juan Hill.

Get a Life, will you? What kind of a question is this? Do you at all have a memory of 9/11? We are at War, (Probably WW III) and this kind of ignorant question should not even be asked.
