It's not right to be happy that someone's sick or has a serious health problem.

I'm a Yankee fan and yes I feel sorry for Big Papi. When it comes to someone else's health, I don't care what team, etc. they are from. What's important in life is caring about others!

Yes...he's a human being before he's a Red Sox player. I kept wishing all season that he and Manny would go down but I only wished minor injuries (strained muscles, etc) so that the Yankees could gain ground. I feel very bad for big Papi and wish him well. He and his family must be very concerned.

I predict that anyone that doesn't wish him a good recovery (even as a red sox fan i feel the same for Matsui but screw that loudmouth Sheffield) will die poor and lonely. As for the couple of people who said hes going to be a yankee...he signed an EXTENSION this year so he's not going anywhere.

As a yankee fan I hope all is well with him but it makes no difference whether he is in or out of the lineup. The yankees got the AL East this year and Boston has been heading straight downhill after the 5 game series which they totally stunk up the joint.

the region is, contained in the AL, a minimum of two good communities will be ending up out of the postseason. What the professionals do is evaluate each crew's strengths and weaknesses and that is the premise of their decision on who's in or out. That being stated, i imagine the professionals seem on the Yankees pitching and observe a glaring deficiency in it and choose that they received't make the postseason. you should figure that the pink Sox, Angels, and Tigers are the favorites of their divisions, that leaves the Mariners, the Indians, the Blue Jays, and the Yankees vying for the Wild Card. someone has to omit the playoffs, and that is purely their opinion. a similar element takes position to my crew for all time, anybody doubts the Padres, the professionals on ESPN and the persons the following on Y!A. particular, it annoys me, yet I appreciate their opinion and together attempt to teach them incorrect.

Yes. First off, even though he's a red sock, he's still a person. I'd always feel bad for anyone with a heart condition. Secondly, I feel bad for him because he might play for the Yankees one day.

Mo, how can you say the sox dominate the yankees when we just swept a 5 game series in fenway. and to your question its not really that big of a deal, its mostly related to stress probably because the team has fallen apart and he was released from the hospital today.

Yes. When you beat a team you want to beat them at their best. But all that aside, I feel bad as a person that he has the condition. If someone from a team you don't like gets hurt and you cheer, it just means that you're a miserable person. I don't think Ortiz has done anything for people to think he's a bad person so there is no reason to take joy in his bad health.

yes! i think he's a great player, but i heard that he's OK now.
for my YANKEES, I'm happy that he's out of line-up and Manny out too. They're the two most dangerous hitter in that line-up. anyways hope big papi is alright!

I don't feel sorry for him, but I wish him a speedy recovery.

I'm sure his family worries about him and while he irritates me as a player because he's such a good hitter, I know that he's one of the good guys in baseball.

If it were Ramirez on the other hand, I wouldn't care if he ever played again.
