it's happen to me at least five times within the six years of working here.
i once work up thinking thinking i was late. i had missed the city bus to take me there, so i walked. it took me thirty minutes to get there (i don't really live too far, but it is a thirty minute walk). i got there, i was ready to clock in, but walked past my schedule, and saw that i wasn't even suppose to be here.
there was a McDonalds near by, so i stopped there on my way home.

LMAO! YES!! Several years ago, I woke up one morning at 6:45, baled out of bed and woke my wife up saying, 'ya gotta get my lunch packed quick! I'm REALLY late!!'
She rolled over, looked at me, and said, 'Get back in bed . . . it's Sunday.' Absolutely a true story. :))

HA Ha Yes, but not quite in that way, I once woke up and thought I did not have to work, and just by happen stance I drove by the office and looked at what was supposed to be an off day for everyone and saw that the office was full of people. What a wake up call!

I've worked full time since I was 17 and have never done that. I did leave work at 4 once thinking it was 5, though.

i actually work at mcdonalds and i did that once!!!! I got there and they asked me what I was doing there. I said im ready to work!!! and they told me i wasnt supposed to come in until 5. i had to wait for my ride, for about 2 hours until someone could come and get me. then i had to be ready for work in another 2 hours. so i basically sat at my work the whole day.

We had a complicated shift system where I worked and I would often turn up on my days off, strange really, because I never failed to turn up when it was my shift.

Yeah, it's the best feeling ever when you realise you don't have to go, (If you haven't left the house yet like you did)
