I know that not many people might care about it, but it's a lil degrading to women. Don't you think? Wonder Woman went from being a iconic fictional woman to semi-clothed stipper. What happened?

Most comic book readers are male. So they try to make the comic book attractive to their readers. The average age of the comic book reader is increasing as well. Therefore big breasts and rear ends create characters that are more appealing to men.

When Wonder Woman first came out, she was heavily into bondage, she seemed to get tied up in almost every story. You failed to mention this.

Comic books have always been more appealing to men, so they cater to men's taste. Sex sells, and yes you can find it even in comic books.

I'm pretty sure it was men that came up with the idea of how the women in those comics would look. They probably pictured it as how the perfect woman would look and for majority of men thats pretty much well endowed all round. It depends on how you look at it to determine whether or not its degrading.

Because certain artists sell more comics than others. If a comic is well written and drawn great, people will buy it. If a comic has certain elements that appeal to certain groups of readers and people buy the products it will continue to portray the characters in a similar manner.

From a womens point of view.. I believe that it is because they are usually drawn by men. Degrading yes but realistically it is what sells. It is sad but true. As far as being offended no I guess that I am not. It is a comic.

Because society values women who have unrealistically large breasts and butts when taking their height and waist size into account. Ever wonder why so many women find it necessary to get breast implants? It's called male chauvinism.
