Use a small hose about 2 feet long, 3 is better, go to the local parts store and buy a hand vacuum pump with a reservoir to pump the fluid out. I have done this many many times. It is a vacuum tester and also a brake bleeder.

There is a electric drill mounted pump that was designed to remove the engine oil from an engine via a suction tube. This would work perfectly in your case. The problem is that even though I recall seeing them advertised, I do not remember the name. Maybe your local hardware or auto parts store can be of more help. I just know that they were available just a couple of years ago.

Just disconnect the hose going to the transmission cooler. It is held on with a hose clamp. the fluid will drain out.
