I refer to the ASPCA's website for toxic or poisonous substances. They list foods, houseplants, household products, etc. It looks like peace lilies are definitely toxic, if not lethal.

If you're concerned about having a peace lily in your house with your dog, try spraying the plant with bitter apple spray, which you can get at the pet store. Dogs apparently don't like the taste and will stay away from it.

some say they are...i have 4 dogs and 3 cats

also have a huge pot with a peace lily in it

as long as your dogs doesn't chew on the plant there is no reason you can't keep it...my lily is within reach of the dogs but they don't bother it at all

if your dog/puppy is chewing everything it gets it's mouth on the animal needs to be taught what is allowed to be chewed and not chewed..in the meantime keep the peace lily out of reach until the animal knows better...

when the animal is chewing on something not permitted a quick stream of water from a water bottle and a sharp no will tell him/her to stop...it might take a few times to actually sink in but this does work...sometimes you will have to shoot the water into his face several times but it wont take long before the point is made

also buy the animal some rawhides to chew on

go to the site below to buy in bulk (way cheaper than going to the store) many various rawhides for dogs..i buy from here and once order is placed i have it in my hands in less than a week
