My 15-YEAR-OLD daughter says she wants to be a PROSTITUTE? HELP!!?

She has never been excessively exposed to sex, but lately she's been hanging out with people i wouldn't really call ideal friends. When her grades started slipping, she said she didn't care about education and wanted the easy way out ie: prostitution. How can i persuade her that this is not a good path to go on?

This is serious, don't take no for an answer and and tell what that if you end up at the wrong prostitute that she can end belonging to them people under the laws of the state so thay can do what ever to her (a lie) so she'll think twice and if that don't work tell her she's to ugly (another lie) to prostitute and talk to her about god and how god's people can be dangerous (this is (not) a lie) and ask her whats the point of being a prostitute that you just give your life up and you don't really make as much as it seems in the movies, so there realy isn't no point in prostitute, you just become a nobody.

Take her to an AIDS ward and let her know that she can get this and dozens of other diseases from sex. Then let her know that a lot of prostitutes get beaten by their pimps, and many prostitutes end up being murdered by sexual deviants. She is under the mistaken impression that it is an easy way to make money, most likely, whereas in reality this is clearly not the case. I suggest you clamp down with an iron fist and don't let her hang out with those new "friends" of hers as they are no real "friends" at all. Get help if you need it from wherever you can get it - police, social workers - even the hookers will probably tell her not to do it. That, and that most men think of prostitutes as moronic idiots and they will have no respect for her at all. She is being stupid, and you need to not only tell her that but you need to SHOW her that.

As a former prostitute, I sure know that this is no easy way of life. There's always the risk that you may contract a deadly disease, or fall victim to a sexual predator. These men will torture, rape, mutilate and, if you're lucky, kill you quickly and leave your body in a secluded place where, maybe some day, it will be found, badly decomposed or skeletonized. If this doesn't happen, then she'll endure years of degradation, of knowing that she's no more than an object to these men who seek to satisfy their very often sick fantasies; as paying customers, they don't care if they are hurting her body and destroying her soul; they want to have their way and they won't let her go until they do. As time takes its toll, by age 25 she'll be considered too old to work, and the asking price for sexual favor goes down considerably after this.

I used to work in social services. The life of a prostitute is not glamorous. Prostitutes are routinely beaten and raped by their "clients". As a prostitute the criminal justice system does not take rape complaints from a woman who has sex with multiple partners in a single night seriously.

Prostitutes put themselves at risk for AID/HIV, hepatitis, herpes and over 70 known sexually transmitted diseases everyday. These diseases can cause infertility, or death.

Women with self-esteem don't choose prostitution as a way out. They know their minds will lead them to the greatest success.

She is trying to shock you. Tell her you think she's daft for wanting to do that, casually tell her a few home truths about prossies and the way they're treated etc... but not as a lecture, but then say, if thats your choice, I'll be here for you if it goes wrong.
Don't forget, kids will do the opposite of what you tell them, you tell her outright, NO she will be more likely TO go ahead and do it, if you say be careful, then it takes away the shock factor and gives it straight back to her. She will probably lose the idea cos it didn't freak you out.

she needs to watch some TV shows, where young girls TOTALLY regret their choice of path through life, how they have missed out on a happy youth, and how it's not a cool way of life. What does she think of your feelings & how distraut this leaves you feeling. Tell her about the drugs and the diseases can can pick up & how this could shorten her life & chances of having her own family. Good luck sweet, you're gonna need it. X

I suspect she only said it to get a rise out of you, which she obviously did! Just tell she can do what she likes when she is old enough to live on her own. Don't give the satisfaction of seeing how riled you are by it, call her bluff, and tell her it's ultimately her choice. i suspect she will drop the idea when she realises that it no longer gets up your nose

She is probably just testing you and looking for attention to be honest. I doubt that's what she really intends to do, as I sure she knows what a scary situation that is to be in. Just say to her if she wants to say silly things like that, she's welcome to do it but not whilst she's living under your roof. So she'll have to get a job for a few years until she's old enough to move out.

find out where exactly she got this idea of a perfect occupation.
Tell her about the consequences she could face from leading that sort of lifestyle. Eg. sexually transmited diseases, gettin pregnant, being taken advantage of

Talk to her about other career paths and hear wot she has to say too

send her away to a convent and have her locked up. It sounds like she has watched pretty woman one to many times. Show her and tell her that prostitution is not a glamorous thing. Have her talk to some you prostitutes and they may change her mind.
