RED ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the mail will say that the writer of the mail is the prince of some province situated in deep africa or any of the african countries. it will say that his ancesors / parents have died in an accident. he has left some hectic enormous funds in some treasury. it will be of worth of millions of american dollars. he will be willing to share / invest that money in india under your control. but to release the safe from the treasury some duty has to be paid. if that can be arranged by you, the business shall be offered to you. if you reply to the mail, correspondance shall be held through landline phones, faxes only. in particular through fax. some advocate and auditor shall talk to you for the financial arrangements you are going to arrange. the percentage of profice shall be reminded to you in every communication.
if you arrange the money and go to that country, your death karma can be fixed at your home town. ie i am trying to say that you may not return in person and full.
so be aware of such mails.

Those stories are older than email. I used to receive printed weekly letters from Nigeria with the same message. They want to 'sell' you a story where you may profit millions and millions if you let them use your bank account. Once they gain your trust they say that you must pay some small expense with a credit card or by opening a bank account somewhere. That is where they rip you off... They use human greed to make money.
Beware, don't give them any personal information. My advice is: delete and filter those messages.

A lot of these emails are fake. Some emails with the same content but from a different country have been going around for a long time. Don't know what makes a person start something like this, but be careful in even opening them for they may contain a virus or someone may try to get your personal info. Go to snopes.com to check for any email "urban legends".

DON'T get taken. It is a big scam. Old, but it has been tried. Never ever fall into this net.

Want to read? Go to: http://urbandlegends.com/library/about and search for Nigerian scam. You will see some real horror stories there.

Just delete those mails. Don't even bother answering. If you do, you have just confirmed your email address to them. Then, you will get more of the same.

The goverments don't do anything because they realize that anyone with half a brain would realize that these emails are scams.

The crooks benefit by getting bank accounts or credit card numbers and steal money from the unsuspecting.

Ignore them. They are asking for your bank information and saying that they will share some of the money if you can help, right? It is a scam to get into your bank account and steal from you.
