It's amazing that this website is called "Yahoo Answers" yet I get criticized for "asking" my question. Then shouldn't this be called "Yahoo Criticisms" instead?

First, I am guy so I may not be the right person to answer this but c'mon, are you serious? Do people choose shoes because of the sound they might make while walking at work?

Interesting question though. I think people chose a shoe for fashion not sound. I wear a lot of suits and business casual and cannot ever recall a time when I thought to wear a loud shoe versus a soft shoe.

For whatever it is worth - I asked my wife - who happens to be a lawyer - and she said she has never decided to wear shoes because of the sound they make.

Honestly, I don't think I ever thought about and probably won't again.

What are your thoughts on this?

Okay, I need to read a little closer. I don't think any of the above. I just think they are loud when they are loud. Sometimes they might be loud and I look to see who has the noisy shoes and they are sexy shoes but never have I thought they were just annoying.

A & C....What is powerful about Walking in noisey shoes? I hate that sound just as much as I hate people dragging their feet accross the floor.

I don't want attention by way of my shoes. It just so happens that the heels make this noise that you refer to and there's no way for me to walk without making noise.

What are you suggesting? That all women wear sneakers? Gimme a break. Ponder more important things in life.
