You just follow the natural angle of the hoof. cut a little bit off at a time. from all of the hoof. the outside wall and the pink. if you start to cut to short your goat will flinch or jump. they will do something to tell you your cutting too short. You might also want to cut or peel off some of that stuff off what is above the hoof. i dont know what its called but its thoughs 2 lumps a inch above the hoof.

WOW. I wouldn't have the slightest idea. If you have goats you must have a vet. Why don't you call him or her and ask about it. Maybe they should be professionally done?
