I believe that if you pay for your holidays with Nat West Visa card in the UK, they give you free Travel Accident Insurance.
Do Halifax apply the same rule.I have searched the small print but see no answers.

Nat west do offer free holiday insurance, but only on the advantage gold account, see https://www.natwestadvantagegold.com

my building society give me a policy it lasts the year then renew if i don't get one at the end of the team then i will either pay an insurer or take out holiday cover insurance when i book , i would never travel without a travel insurance i have seen to many people get into a right mess having no insurance
