I understand there are a lot of better notebooks for gaming but I am currently in college and on a budget. I was wondering if anyone owns a E1505 with the 258MB NVIDIA GEFORCE GO 7300 TURBOCACHE video card and if this notebook is capable of good online gaming. ie: World of Warcraft or Halflife 2.

other specs 2.00 ghz duo core, 120 gb hard drive 2gb memory

Thanks

I travel often from college and back home (215 miles). It is just easier for me to get a notebook.
Those 20 inch flat panels dell is giving away is very enticing.
and yea i can get so much better specs on a desktop for probably less $.

I have a dell that i use for gaming. Mine tends to over heat on me and the heat sink gets screwed up every 10-14 months and i need to get it replaced (they have done it for free so far so the only complaining is inconvience)

I run WoW fine on mine, Final Fantasy XI gives me problem with lagging and over heating. Granted mine isn't as good as the one you are thinking about, but it is still a gaming capable laptop.

My personal thoughs are it you want a computer for gaming, build yourself a desktop, you will get more (and more the way you want it) for the same price.

Ya, i have an E1505, with the ATi graphics card and duo core, and ya, it handles all those games. It works pretty well and mine doesn't overheat or anything. I even use it for pretty heavy video editting and it works well.

Your notebook ROCKS! Your broadband connection may need some tweaking ...
