I only have 3 weeks to go and I was wondering if a babies hiccups feels like a steady kind of quick rhythm? Its not like a kick once in a while. Just curious because that feeling is usually up high but its down pretty low now so I thought maybe she is head down and thats why.

Yes, that is probably what you are feeling. It is normal to feel your baby's hiccups in the last month. My daughter had the hiccups while I was in labor. Congrats!

That sounds like baby turning head down to me.

Hiccups are usually a little steady rhythm of movements in the same area.

You can also determine baby's position by remembering where your caregiver finds the HB and then feeling for parts. The butt and head will be the two round firm areas. If you press against them, the head moves differently than the butt. The head will kind of "bounce back" if you press against it. (Think of how YOUR head moves versus how your pelvis moves.)

i am 38 weeks and i LOVE the hiccups... i think it is the neatest thing... my baby gets them all the time... the first one you might mistake for a lil kick but after 4 or 5 in a row spaced out evenly you know that it is a hiccup... i guess her getting in position can make the feeling lower... i know i can now feel her head move under my basket for a belly... but i still do see my tummy jump everytimes she hiccups...

It's like a steady bouncing feeling. You are probably right that the babies' head is down now.

sounds like hiccups to me. My little female have been given them a pair of situations in my abdomen and perpetually after delivery. Neat, huh? Its well worth video taping your abdomen bounce around if it somewhat is available to you jointly because it somewhat is occurring.
